Outfit of the Month: Pink Lady
The uniform: Bomber jacket, button-down, cropped jeans (see the ankle boots I paired with it here)
Why I love it: I’ve never been a minimalist. So when I’m able to create an outfit using multiple fun, some-would-call-quirky pieces from my closet that’s both chic and totally unique, I’m over the moon. And that’s exactly what this is: an amalgamation of some of my favorite stuff—especially my Everlane jeans, made in the cleanest factory in the world and affordable. Let's here it for a win-win-win!
Why it works: The key to combining multiple trends (here, metallics and florals) or patterns is to stick within the same color family. The jacket and button-up both feature a similar pink and the jacket's striped trim brings out the neutrals in the shirt. Everything also fits well, making it polished.
To try this at home, set aside time to have an at-home fashion show (with the gang in the front row, of course): It’s hard to tell on the hanger if a look like this will be overwhelming. With this much detail in the clothes, best skip jewelry for the day too.
